DAMCC was a life changer for myself. I encourage anyone to take the time to return to your education at DMACC Ankeny campus! I just didn't grow in my field of study, I grew a set of understandings that could only be taught by the people I was around! I absolutely, love DMACC! The staff, the environment, the college degree blds are all decked out as if you were going to your job, the people in every sense: untouchable! I have all love for DMACC! From the very core of me Thank You! Keep being a Bear! 🐻 If the milky way of stars was an option to give, I would give it! ❤️

Going to teach for DMACC was the worst decision I made in my professional career. This is a deplorable, mediocre, and downright mean institution. If you are looking for integrity, professional growth, or a pleasant work or study atmosphere, DMACC is not for you. DMACC should stand for Don’t Make A Catastrophic Choice. This school is barely able to teach some trades, but it is vastly unprepared to support and educate students in the arts and sciences, because faculty here are reduced to rubble. No one is engaged in any sort of academic research, professional development, or collaboration with peers. In fact, those things are highly discouraged. Since there appears to be no state authority to which the college must respond to or seek accreditation from, administrators carry on with their rogue practices, with complete contempt for faculty, students, and academic integrity. There is no shared governance, no Faculty Senate, and no organized faculty or student body under Roberts Rules of order. Administrators have carte blanche to run over faculty and students as they please and break every rule concerning academics, student welfare and finances, decency, or dignity in education. No one asks or cares about what you do. Faculty never receive praise; they are only employees who must abide by and never question orders coming from an absent body of abusive administrators. The faculty evaluation system is not a tool for improvement but only used against faculty. Instructors carry heavy teaching loads and must endure an overpowering supervisor. You are hired to teach and preferably ignore everything else, including the deplorable office and classroom facilities. Faculty do not have offices; they share cubicles with other faculty. The only attractive spaces are occupied by administrators, while faculty and students must endure old buildings with no windows and dilapidated classrooms. Health and safety are major concerns. There is no promotion system, no program of study or professional development opportunities, and nothing for faculty or students to look forward to. This outfit is not an academic institution but only a poorly run business. Respectable 4-year colleges should never accept science credits from DMACC. This school represents everything that is wrong with community colleges throughout the nation. It’s very depressing! Stay away!

Getting books for class is like pulling teeth. Teacher sending Amazon list for books wanting you buy with own money on first day. Before Financial aid comes back. Teachers messing up Schedules of students causing them have drop classes then when go get new classes. You deal teacher not working with them when they start late. Because of college own screw up. I have Not been impressed if this happen any jobs I have work any of them. We all be fired! Even CEO

Visiting the college campus for the first time was an exciting experience! The campus exuded a vibrant atmosphere with bustling students and beautiful architecture. Navigating around was easy, thanks to clear signages and helpful staff. The facilities, like the library and student center, seemed impressive, providing a conducive environment for learning and socializing. I can already sense the potential for growth and exploration in this welcoming academic community. Grove christa L is being soo helpful to me.

Dealing with DMACC’s fin aid office is quite stress free compared to another school I attended in the past and it was a relief. Also anyone I’ve spoke to here is friendly and I’ve gotten consistent info across the board.

Thank goodness, I went to this campus over Iowa State University because I wasn't too sure which was better for doing my automotive classes, this or at Ames. But now, here I am doing my auto classes and experience in ease, it's convenient in terms of price and the majors I have, now that I did the smart thing, and kept the money in my pockets, I will lean forward towards the next 2 years, and ensure I get the education I need. Thanks again, DMACC. For changing my mind about big university and then leaving, and going to you first, then onto the big things.

Everything you would have saved doing your first two years at a four year university, they screw you out of in fees, screw ups, and especially your transcript. Charged me for my transcript multiple times and didn't even get to use it, refused to be decent human beings and refund or fix where it was sent. Will nickel and dime you to the point where you spent what you would have doing all 4 years at your choice of university.
